GPSRKit ("the App", "we", "us") is a Shopify theme app extension that displays product-safety information on a store's product pages, using information the merchant enters in their own Shopify product metafields. The App runs entirely inside the merchant's theme as a client-side block in the shopper's browser.
The App does not store, sell, or use any personal information from merchants or their customers. The mandatory Shopify privacy webhooks may be received only to verify and acknowledge Shopify's compliance requests; their payloads are not stored or used. Specifically, the App:
The product-safety information is entered by the merchant in their own Shopify product metafields. The App's theme block reads those metafields at page-render time and displays them. All processing happens in the visitor's browser; no data leaves the merchant's store.
The App stores no data on the developer's servers. Any product information stays inside the merchant's own Shopify store.
The App does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect any.
Because the App stores no data and runs as a client-side theme block, there is no separate data store to secure. The App's backend endpoints are served over HTTPS.
The App is intended for use by merchants and does not knowingly collect any information from children.
The App is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As the App does not collect or process personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. We also honour Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact); because no data is stored, these requests are acknowledged and require no further action.
